Cosmetic surgery procedures are typically not covered by insurance. The full fees are paid for in advance of the procedure and we accept several methods of payment: cash, money order, personal checks (accepted no later than twoweeks prior to the surgery), Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. When comparing fees from one surgeon to another, be sure to obtain information on all of the costs involved, which in addition to the surgeon’s fee will typically include separate fees for anesthesia, the implants or garments used (when applicable), and the facility at which the procedure is performed, although some more minor procedures can be done in our office and/or under local anesthetic. FINANCING We also offer patients the option to finance their surgery through a finance company, providing a simple, affordable, means of letting you budget intelligently for the quality healthcare you deserve. We have a finance company we frequently use and would recommend. The company is Capital One’s Cosmetic Fee Plan (www.capitalonehealthcarefinance.com or 1-877-559-5050). You may contact the company directly via their web address or telephone number. This company offers a wide range of loan options, including financing plans ranging from 6 to 60 months. APPROXIMATE FEES The following table lists some approximate fees for our most commonly requested procedures. A quote specifically for you can be provided following your consultation with Dr. Short. Please note that the “Total” amounts listed below include the surgeon’s fees, anesthesia fees, facility fees, implants or garments needed (when applicable), and all preoperative and follow-up appointments after surgery. The fee for surgery may also vary based on the amount of time in the operating room, which cannot be fully predicted until after the physical examination has been completed at the consultation. Our office does collect a $500 surgery deposit to secure a date of surgery with Dr. Short. The surgery deposit is applied towards Dr. Short's surgeon fees. The total amount for surgery is collected at the pre-operative appointment, which is scheduled 2-3 weeks prior to the date of surgery.
